Jeffrey Garcia is an interdisciplinary designer and educator who taught at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba in the undergraduate Environmental Design Program and is currently teaching at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, in the undergraduate Architectural Studies program. Jeffrey is a partner at oISO (Office in Search Of), a collaborative design research practice. His primary interest is narrative-driven speculative architecture and data-centric design as a form of Experimental Preservation.
Jeffrey is a member of GAMBJTS, a collective consisting of interdisciplinary architects, designers, and academics that engage the built and natural environments at multiple scales that situate speculation as a discursive practice. Their "Beneath the City: Rivers" research project was selected to be exhibited at the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021 (https://www.beneaththecityrivers.com).
