Through a diverse, multi-disciplinary practice, my work explores ideas of selfhood/embodiment, temporality, and belonging. I work through a process of research-creation, where my artistic work is heavily intertwined with my academic research and writing. My thoughts about art and my process of working is greatly affected by my experience as a trans and disabled individual, as well as a visibly white/white-passing person from a mixed Arab and white Jewish heritage. Questions of identity and monstrosity haunt my work, and I am always seeking ways to exist outside normative narratives of selfhood.
